We are excited to announce our Keynote Speaker - Dr.  Reed Tuckson

Over the course of more than 35 years as a health professional, I have had the privilege of engaging in nearly every sector of health and medical care, including serving  as the Commissioner of Public Health for the District of Columbia; the Senior Vice President for Programs of the March of Dimes Foundation; the President of the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science; the Senior Vice President for Professional Standards of the AMA; the Executive Vice President and Chief of Medical Affairs for UnitedHealth Group, a Fortune 25 Health and Wellbeing Company; and now as the Managing Partner of Tuckson Health Connections.

My vision of comprehensive, multi-disciplinary, and integrated health care is regularly reinforced by my active service on the Advisory Committee to the Director of the National Institutes of Health; the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s, 2013 Commission to Build a Healthier America; the Institute of Medicine’s Roundtable on Value & Science-Driven Health Care; the Board of Directors of the American Telemedicine Association; and the Board of Directors of Cell Therapeutics Inc., among many other activities.

Whether you have found your way to Tuckson Health Connections as an individual interested in optimizing their own health; a public health or community worker;  someone interested  in collecting or analyzing health data;  a health professional engaged in enhancing the quality and effectiveness of care delivery; an innovator in mobile and telehealth applications;  a person interested in clinical science and its responsible translation into new health interventions; or as a health policy maker or implementer, I do hope you will visit often and contribute much.

We are pleased to announce that we have invited Fisher & Phillips LLP to partner with us on this year's event.  Fisher & Phillips are one of the largest firms in the country representing management exclusively in the areas of labor and employment law. We are committed to providing value to clients, and this commitment dates back to the founding of our firm more than 70 years ago.

Our range of experience and knowledge enables us to bring an efficient and practical perspective to today’s labor and employment law problems. Something else that distinguishes us from many other law firms is our businesslike approach to solving our client’s legal problems. In every matter we handle, we seek to identify a client’s primary business objective, design a solution to fit that objective, and implement that solution in the most efficient manner possible.

We place a high priority on being responsive to client needs. We recognize that we are in the client service business, and we know that many labor and employment problems arise without much prior warning and require an immediate response.

While courts and legislatures continue to expand the scope of employee rights, we recognize that employers have important rights, too.

By performing compliance audits, providing the right policies and procedures and training, and offering thoughtful advice and counsel, we assist clients in preventing employee claims and lawsuits, government investigations, and union organizing activity.

We meet deadlines and provide plenty of advance time for clients to review documents when needed. We also communicate with clients efficiently, and in plain English.

We have a broad and diverse client base. We represent a wide range of public and private employers around the nation. http://www.laborlawyers.com/
